Located in Holden Beach, North Carolina Standing Down Charters proudly announces a newly formed partnership with Holden Beach Sportfishing Charters operating from Holden Beach Marina. Come and enjoy sport fishing at its best with Captain Lyndon Carter along with all the added amenities from one of the finest marinas on the North Carolina coast. Standing Down Charters is located in Holden Beach, North Carolina and operates from the dock of Old Ferry Seafood. In order to best suite the needs of our clients Standing Down Charters offers half-day, three quarter day, along with full day, and extended day Gulf Stream excursions. While fishing aboard Stand ‘N Down II “LIVE BAIT” is deployed to target King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Sailfish, and various species of Shark. Standing Down Charters also targets various species of bottom fish and reef dwellers that include but are not limited to: Grouper, Snapper, and Black Sea Bass. November 15th through January 31st marks the beginning of the Blue Fin Tuna season around the Holden Beach, North Carolina area and Standing Down Charters offers excursions to our clients that target these giant fish as they begin to show up in the Holden Beach, North Carolina waters.

Major League Baseball is on TV, the smell of fresh cut grass lingers in the air, and the faint sound of a chirping cricket can only mean one thing……Spring time is FINALLY here! Mother Nature has calmed the howling winds and dealt us a hand that we can finally play. So why not don the sun block stowed away in the closet, find that lucky fishing hat from last year, and join us aboard the Feedin' Frenzy for the spring bite that’s coming in with a blast and swinging for the fences. Man! It’s on fire out there in “The Stream” (Gulf Stream) with Wahoo being landed tipping the scales over 50 lbs. The beautiful and hard charging Mahi-Mahi are being found around the Saur Grass as they lay in a state of wait to put an air show on for you. Closer in shore will be King Mackerel, and accompanying them even closer to the beach, are Spanish Mackerel. Black Sea Bass, 12 inches and above can be found close to the beach around reefs and underwater structure. These fish fare extremely well on the table, and can be easily prepared.
There is an old adage that says, “In the end you will only regret the things you didn’t do opposed to the things that you did.” So put that spring cleaning off one more day and join us for the time of your life….
